December 31, 1940 – June 9, 2026
Norman passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, June 9, 2026
Norman is survived by his daughter Natalie Manning, son Jason Cox (Jacquie), two granddaughters, Chyna Nwozor (Kenechi), and Tyra Johnson and three great grandchildren, Kaydence Johnson-Squires, Isaiah & Naomi Nwozor.
Dad came to Manitoba in 1956 at the age of 16 and worked as a farm hand. It was there that he was introduced to the truth by the farm owner and was baptized in February 10, 1962. After working a few other jobs, he found his place at Versatile in the experimental engineering department. He loved to work with his hands fixing and modifying equipment.
Dad loved the different congregations he attended over the years but settled in Transcona in 1985 till his passing. Dad had a deep faith in the bible’s promise of the paradise and of the resurrection of man kind on earth. 2 Peter 3:13.
We would like to thank the Park Manor second floor nurses and staff who diligently cared for Dad and also express our gratitude for the support we have been given at this sad time.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., 930 Pandora Ave West Winnipeg.

*** Even when Norm was having health problems in his later years, he stepped up to do his BIBLE READING at the Kingdom Hall when he was assigned. This was encouraging to all of us.
We have your Family in our prayers.
Paradise with no sickness and dying will soon be here to enjoy Forever. Jesus said, “Do not be amazed at this. The hour is coming when all those in the Memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out”…. to a Resurrection

Thank you Cindy,
My dad was such a giving man. He would drop everything to help out where possible. I very much remember that about him..🥰
Thank you Cindy & John

I’m very sorry to hear of Norman’s passing. He was the best man at our wedding and he was one of the first babysitters we had for our infant son. He will truly be missed.
Norm was a good friend. We shared our life experiences, disappointments, frustrations, and regrets. The difficulties in survival. Joy of knowing the truth, a hope of a second chance in life. Understanding all the variables life challenges us with. The wisdom to want to do better in our choices in the future. Hoping one day the angels will come and roll away our memorial stone. My sincere condolences to those that feel the loss of a close friendship in a man of unique character.
Dear Natalie & Jason & Families:
* So sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. 1 Cor. 11:26 rightly speaks of death as an enemy. However, we look forward to the Bible’s hope in Isa. 25: 8, where it promises that our God, Jehovah will eventually swallow up death forever.
* Remember, we will be separated from Norm (your Dad) for just a short time (1 Thess. 2: 17) and look forward to seeing him again in the paradise “just around the corner”.
(Sorry we were unable to be at the funeral in person due to being sick, but listened in on Zoom. Gordon did a very nice job of the talk)
Warm Christian Love, Tim, Tanya & Spencer
