It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the sudden passing of Chrystal Rose (Honke) with her loving partner David by her side on April 24, 2022 at Grace Hospital at the age of 55.
Chrystal was predeceased by her father Herbert Honke, her mother Patricia Adams and her fur baby Princess. She will be lovingly remembered by David and his family, her special family of 43 years (Joe, Don & Kathy), her fur baby Penny, as well as other family members and many friends whose hearts she touched.
Chrystal had worked for the Government of Manitoba in the Family Services department for 12 1/2 years.
Chrystal had many interests. She loved nature, animals and the outdoors whether she was cleaning the yard (at home or the lake), gardening (which she grew enough vegetables to share with everyone), reading, doing crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, cooking and baking, she always would find something to do to keep herself busy. Her “Happy Place” in the summer was at the lake in Pinawa with family and friends. Out there you could catch her riding the seadoo, going for boat rides, exploring, fishing or just laying back in a tube at the dock enjoying a beverage. In the winter her “Happy Place” was in Mexico with Dave.
In accordance with Chrystal’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday May 15, 2022 from 2 pm – 5 pm at 4th Line Pub & Grill 3025 Ness Ave.

I’m sure like many of us that had some type of friendship with CH or brief conversation with her. You would walk away with a smile.
My friendship with CH has been over four decades long. The laughter and tears throughout the years are something that I will never forget.
It is still hard to say or think that you are gone from all of us , you will never be forgotten.
Love You!!
Chrystal you will be missed dearly ..any time i ever saw you ..it was a pleasure and a good time. Deepest sympathy to Dave and all your friends and family.
My beautiful friend, i miss you everyday. I will always remember all the time we spent together and all of the conversations we had . I keep thinking that you will be texting me any day, telling me to walk down for one of our usual visits . You were more than my best friend, you were my cool big sister. We were always there for each other. I will never forget you. Rip Chrystal, my friend, my sister. I love you ❤️
I met Chrystal in kindergarten at Elwick community school where we continued on through our elementary years to Ken Seaford junior high and then on to Maples Collegiate where we graduated in 1985. Like many we drifted apart after high school doing our things. Then some two years later we reconnected on Facebook , it’s always nice to find out what Old friends are doing now. If I may share one memory which stands out is Chrystals infectious smile, from kindergarten to Grad whenever you ran into her she had that smile as I’m sure all her friends and family can attest too. It was very nice to say hello and so sad to say goodbye to soon. Keep Smiling Chrystal and my you Rest In Peace.
God always takes the angels .you were a very sweet person to me . May you Rest In Peace now . ❤️❤️❤️😇😇😇🙏🙏🙏

I worked with Chrystal at Family Services. We had many common interests and we would often chat about recipes. Chrystal was the type of woman that if you were excited about something she would be just as excited as you. I will.miss her smoker, our chats and the funny moments we shared. You are missed Chrystal!

My condolences and sympathy during this difficult time.
She was a kind and caring person, I will never forget meeting her my first day with the Provincial Government, I wasn’t issued a pass yet, and she saw me waiting by the door, she went out of her way to ask if I needed help and after verifying who I was and why I was there she let me into the employee entrance, throughout my time at that location she was always warm and friendly, when I moved to a different office, I reacquainted with her while she was here in a temporary position, such a sweet, funny, bubbly person, my deepest condolences for her loss.
