Wanda Borley (nee Bassham)

January 11, 1952 – July 29, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wanda at the age of 73 years after a short illness.

Wanda worked as an RN at the St. Boniface Hospital for over 30 years and retired in 2009. She loved camping, fishing, golf and curling. She swam 5 miles for a medal when she was only 13 years old. She cherished family and friends and family get togethers.

She was predeceased by her parents May and Reg Bassham and her younger brother Allan Bassham.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Curt and their sons Dion (Rose), Darren (Cassidy) as well as her sister Joan (Barry), brother Reg (Deb), sister Connie (Roland) and half-sister Kathleen and her 5 grandchildren who loved her very much, Matthew, Mirra, Jayda, Joe and Leni as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family thanks the personnel at Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion in making Wanda comfortable in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Riverview Health Centre, One Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB., R3L 2P4.

A small family gathering will be convened at a later date.
