August 20, 1948 – October 19, 2024

Shirley was born and grew up in Stonewall Manitoba.  She moved many times but would always return to Stonewall knowing this was her home.

Shirley attended Bobby Bend School and ran track when she was younger, she enjoyed the outdoors, garage sales, markets and loved shopping. Her favourite stops were Winners, Canadian Tire and of course the Avon catalogues. Shirley loved animals and always had either a cat a dog or both.

She worked many years at Leo’s Sales and Service in the administration and accounting department and spent countless hours and weekends being part of the Ladies Auxiliary and supporting the Stonewall Legion and spending the remainder of her spare time helping out with the grandchildren and having fun with friends. 

Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband Roderick in 2006, her beautiful daughter Cheryl in 2017, as well as her Sister Jean that same year. Shirley’s Mom Cecile passed away last year in 2023. Her Mom was her sidekick and best friend throughout her life.

Shirley leaves us to remember her infectious laugh and her love of life. She is survived by her Son Ricky and wife Jody, Grandchildren Ethan, Taylor, Alexis, Ariana and Kennedy. She also leaves many great friends who were like family to her.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, homecare workers, neighbours and friends who helped Shirley in the last few years.
