Judith Lynn Barnych (Nee Wilchuk)

November 5, 1958 – October 14, 2024

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Judy in the wee morning hours of October 14, 2024; as a result of complications from pneumonia. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Judy is predeceased by her father Stanley (Nov. 66), her mother Irene (July 2010), husband Danny (February 2010), fur babies Lady and Lassie, brother Terrance (Dec. 2023), and great nephew Sawyer (Aug. 2024) who we were unable to meet. Aunty will be taking care of Sawyer in her loving arms.

She will be forever missed by her sister Lora (Bill), brother Brian (Darcey), as well as nieces and nephews, Jason (Laurie), (Eternity, August, Cadi), Christopher, Ashley (Brendan) (Lincoln and Aubrey), Amanda (Reg), (Max, Miranda, Kelsey, Emma), Chantal (Jayson), Amber (Marc), Amy (Michael), Robyn, Dale (Mel) and family. She will also be lovingly remembered by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Judy was a social butterfly thanks to Facebook and Bell MTS. If she was your friend on Facebook, she commented on every post you shared. If she had your phone number, she could talk forever. She always truly cared how you were feeling and what you were up to. Phone calls always ended with “stay safe, stay healthy, take care and I love you. Talk soon.”

The last two weeks have been a roller coaster of emotions and to you my dear sister,
We will miss you beyond words,
But your journey has begun so
To you we say “you are safe,
You are now healthy and I love you
See you soon”

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Woodlands Community Hall, Woodlands, Manitoba.

Flowers gratefully declined but for those who wish to donate, please do so to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Family and friends are invited to share memories and condolences on Judy’s memorial page using the comment field below.

We are sending our sincere condolences to Lora and Bill, Brian and Darcy and all of her family and friends. We were privileged to be good friends with Judy and Danny and have many wonderful memories of our snowmobile adventures. Rest in peace Judy. You are now with the love of your life Danny, your wonderful mom and all your fur babies and family that you loved so much. Till we meet again❤️

Judy was a great cousin. She was always there to listen and support the family in anyway she could. She will forever be missed but forever will be remembered. We love you Judy!!!

I will miss Judy’s posts and comments on Facebook. To Lora & Brian, I am so heartbroken for you; the last 2 weeks in particular. Judy is with her Mom and Danny now, and I hope Mike & Tracey had a heavenly drink waiting for her. I can picture a great big Ukrainian celebration in the beyond. My hope is that you remember her as she lived, not how she passed. Hugs.

I was saddened to hear of Judy’s passing. Yes she was a bright light in the family. She was always in good spirits even if she wasn’t truly feeling it. She made one smile. She will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her. Rest in Peace
