June 30, 1945 – December 21, 2023
With his family by his side, Larry passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital.
He is survived by his children Tim (Colleen), Sean (Sherri), Jeff (Michelle), Tara (Ted), as well as his grandchildren Jordan, Alicia, Mathieu, Noah, Morgan, Kate and Connor, and close friends Kevin and Stan.
Dad was predeceased by his father Timothy, mother Peggy and his four siblings.
Larry grew up in Winnipeg, attending Churchill High School. After high school, dad was employed with Purolator Courier, The Winnipeg Sun and Dart Messenger.
Dad had a passion for all sports, especially fastball in the summer months, where he played, coached and umpired. In the winter months, he was a competitive and exceptional 5 pin bowler. He also coached hockey, mostly from the bleachers, where you could always here him yelling, “Stay on your wing! Keep your stick on the ice!”
Dad also loved to play backgammon and cribbage, which he played with his children until his last day.
Dad was an avid sports fan, especially the Blue Bombers, Winnipeg Jets, Minnesota Vikings and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
We wish to express our gratitude to the staff at Grace Hospital – 4 South, for their care and compassion for dad and our family.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A small family celebration of Larry’s life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Cancer Care Manitoba.

Yes, sorry to hear of Larry’s passing! Great childhood memories from cousin, Yvonne Reid Hrynkiw
Our family grew up on Morley Avenue across the street from the Cornborough family. Larry and Diane at that time had three young boys and needed a baby sitter. My sister Marlene and I babysat we were 9 and 10 years old at the time and agreed to help them out. A few years later Tara was born and soon after they moved to Fort Richmond. Larry also coached fastball and needed a pitcher and catcher for his Riverview girls bantam team and convinced us to play for him. That decision to play ball lasted well into my 30’s. Larry was the reason that I grew to love the sport. Tim, Sean, Jeffery and Tara my heart go out to you today thinking about your journey and happy that you have had the chance to come back together. Your family was a big part of our lives. Love you all! Cheryl.
So sorry to hear of Larry‘s passing Larry and I bowled on the same team and in the same league for a number of years. Also, played hundreds of games of cribbage with him and against him. he had a great desire to win whatever he attempted. His personality was infectious. He was passionate about all sports and could talk for hours about the Blue Jays or the Blue Bombers. His backyard barbecues and parties after were epic. Larry was a good friend and I will miss dearly. Rest in peace good buddy
