Deepest sympathy to Jack’s family. Rest in peace Jack.
Sorry for your loss. Jack was a wonderful person. I got to know him when he was in the hospital in Gimli. Found out that he was related to me . Will miss his humor and the great conversation we had about our families. Also his story off his tattoos. cherish the memoories they last a long time. Rest in peace my friend.
Deepest condolences to you and your family, Jack was a character and often told stories of his days working in film. He loved hot cups of coffee and a good yarn. He told me many times about his tattoos the ” Cock of the right ( knee), never lose a fight” and “The pig on the knee, survival at sea” .I always mixed them up and joked with him about a “Rooster on the knee”, and he always would correct me and we would have a good laugh. He will be missed.
My Grandad and Jack’s father were twins. Jack was great at keeping in touch with his extended family, especially after his cousin George, my Dad, passed 20 years ago. I loved hearing the stories of his film days. He always said to come see him there if I was ever in the area, sadly I never made it there.
Jack would drop in at my cottage once or twice each summer for a visit. He would give me updates on the Nelson family’s many cousins. I greatly his help to identify many family members from Dad’s photos.
He so wanted me and my Mom to meet Sharon when she came here, unfortunately it was not to be. Jack was a wonderful and entertaining man. I will miss him and his many chats we had at Winnipeg Beach.
My deepest sympathies to Cheryl and Jonathan. I wish we could have met.
Sorry for the loss . may it comfort you to remember that the gifts your loved one brought into the world will never be lost .With Sympathy
My condolences to the family. Jack was like a friendly giant and will be missed. Rest In Peace. From Ron, Elenor’s cousin.
