Garry Nelson Little

October 3, 1953 – July 17, 2026

Garry passed away suddenly and peacefully at home July 17, at the age of 72.

Garry was predeceased by his mother and father, Gordon and Molly Little, his brother Wayne and sister-in-law Trudy Foster. He leaves to mourn his wife Kay, brother-in-law Ken (Linda), nephews Keith (Annya) and Kyle (Vanessa). Also heartbroken by his loss is his unofficially adopted family. The Ramadan Adam family, Yaya, Zara, Habib, Jamal, Saida, Awad and the little ones, Maisounne, Samir, Salim and Ameen. He loved them as his own. He leaves behind many friends, most importantly, lifelong friend Albert Sheppard and Janet. Garry loved animals and his best bud, Brodie, misses him dearly. Garry, I wish you knew how many people cared about you.

Garry loved sports of all kinds and music. He bled Blue and cheered on the Jets, 1.1 and 2.1. Through the years he had great joy playing guitar and singing with his friends. He sang in the church choir and for a time with the Back Pew Boys.

I want to thank our nephews and friends for all their help and comfort at this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Garry’s memory can be made to the Selkirk United Church or an animal rescue of your choice.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Selkirk United Church, 202 McLean Ave., Selkirk, MB., at 1:00 p.m.

All are welcome to attend as we gather to celebrate Garry’s life, honour his memory, and say our final goodbyes.

Rest in peace Garry.
