On Sunday, April 29, 2022, Tom passed away in Gull Lake, MB.
Tom loved his family and his time spent at Gull Lake. Tom and Martha built their home and retired out at the lake around 1992. He loved spending time at Assiniboine Downs and South Beach Casino for a meal and night out with his family.
Tom leaves to mourn his daughters; Kim (Myles) and Pam, daughter-in-law Johnna, granddaughters Justine and Jackie, great grandchildren; Roman, Dani, Ryder and Ty as well as numerous other family members and friends. While he leaves us on earth to mourn his passing, he has been reunited with his wife Martha, son Tom Jr, his parents and other family members.
Tom started his career as a Winnipeg Firefighter on July 16, 1958, being promoted to Lieutenant on December 23, 1984, Captain on March 27, 1988 and then District Chief on December 26, 1993. After 36 years on the force Tom retired as District Chief on November 13, 1994.
We would like to send a very heartfelt thanks to the ambulance team and the RCMP officers who responded to our call and tried their best.
There will be a celebration of life on May 15, 2022 from 1-4pm at Stead Community Centre , Stead, MB.

Did not know of his amazing career as a firefighter. I only knew him as a terrific father and grandfather. Not to mention the many years as a Bingo caller
