Virginia May Moodrey

1952 –2022

The family of Virginia (Ginny) Moodrey sadly announces the peaceful passing from our world in the early hours of March 15, 2022.

Ginny will always be loved and remembered by her father Alex Moodrey, sister Trish Kelsch, nephew Jason Kelsch, niece Jennifer Kelsch and grandnephew Eden Cordoba Kelsch. Family near and far from Gimli, MB and San Diego, CA all loved and adored her.

Ginny was predeceased by her mother Mary Moodrey and brother-in-law Jonni Kelsch.

In her early years Ginny travelled Europe for 6 months with her girlfriend and then worked in London, England for 6 months. Ginny was going for her Masters degree in psychology and sociology. Virginia took gliding lessons and at the age of 19 achieved a license from the Department of Transport to fly gliders solo. Unfortunately Ginny’s illness presented itself shortly after.

Virginia was a life force. She was fiercely independent with a beautiful personality that was unmatched.

We would like to thank the staff at Lion’s Manor for taking good care of Ginny for the last 8 years. They treated her like family. The staff were able to visit her the day prior to her passing.

Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held in the summer.

Friends and family are invited to Share memories and condolences on Virginia’s memorial page by using the comment field below.
