Danella Rae Morin

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden and unexpected passing Danella Rae Morin on June 26, 2020.

She was predeceased by her mother, Patricia Wozny; father Dale Settee; mother-in-law, Frances Morin and grandson Hunter Scott “the Dude”.

Danella leaves to mourn her loss, the love of her life and husband of 29 years, Brian Morin; her son Devin (Krissy) and their children Leam and Eden; her daughter Misty (Shaun) and their children Kyla, Ashlyn, Emily and Mark “Bubs”; Son Steven and his children Layla and Malik.  Her children and Grandchildren were the lights of her life.  She also leaves behind her step-father, Walter Wozny; Sister, Chery (Merv) Sinclair; brother, Grant (Angela) Settee and very dear friends, Debbie Sprechert, Julie Freeman, Glenda Kohinski, Cindy Dodd, Melanie Arnold and Adrian McDonald.

Danella was a wife, mother and nana.  If you asked the family to describe her using one word, most would say “selfless”.  She was the heart and soul of the family and always the first to lend a helping hand when her family was in need.  From the time she met Brian back in 1989 she devoted her life to being the best wife she knew how to be.  His health and happiness were always on the forefront of her mind.  Their time together was often spent watching soaps and curling.  They were each other’s best friends and confidants.  Danella and Brian shared 3 children.  When the kids were little she was actively involved in sports and for years helped coach baseball for the kids.  As they got older she helped to shape and guide the parents they would become.  Danella was always found in the best seat in the house at every school play, volleyball tournament, hockey game and school function for her grandchildren.  She valued time spent playing sequence, 10,000 and crib with her grandkids.  She usually laughed to the point of tears.  When Danella actually made time for herself, she enjoyed tending to her flowers, reading spiritual novels and dinner dates with the girls.

Danella will be sorely missed but lovingly remembered.  A come and go celebration of life will take place Friday July 10, 2020 at 3 Rem Acres Rd, Traverse Bay, Manitoba from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.  Please respect social distancing.
