Thomas George Munn

Our family is saddened to announce passing of our dad, granddad, great granddad, brother and friend Thomas George Munn on December 31, 2022.

George was born in Winnipeg June 29, 1947 to Thomas and Alice Munn. He attended St. James Collegiate and married Louise (nee :Peterkin) in 1968. They were together 53 years. He worked hard to provide for his family and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for his daughters or his grandkids.

He is reunited with his wife Louise, daughter Rochelle and granddaughter Hanna and his parents Thomas and Alice.

He leaves behind to remember,  his sister Sharon Sadowy (Kevin and Heather), daughters Michelle (Rob) , Nicole (Sean) and son in law Brennan, grandkids Donovan (Bethany), Madison, Sarah, Alexis, Conar, Anne and AbbyGayle and great grandchildren Ryleigh and Carter.

Special thank you to the amazing nursing staff and doctors at Betel Home Selkirk for their care to both our mom and dad in the past year especially to Jamie and Arlene who my dad once called his girlfriend lol.

Private interment to be held in the spring.

Louise Munn (nee Peterkin)

The family of Louise Munn (nee Peterkin) are saddened to announce that she lost her battle with cancer July 12, 2022 at the Betel home in Selkirk.

Born in Winnipeg, March 29, 1948, she grew up on Collegiate street in “Sunny” St. James.  She attended St. James Collegiate and married George in 1968. Together they raised three daughters.

Mom had friends throughout her community. She loved her Church lady friends and shopping at the House of Economy and she loved a good garage sale!  She made the best perogies and her chocolate chip cookies were the best!

She leaves behind husband George of almost 54 years, daughters Michelle (Rob), Nicole (Sean) and Rochelle (Brennan), grandchildren, Donovan (Bethany), Madison, Sarah, AbbyGayle, Lexi, Conar and Anne.  Great grandchildren Ryleigh and Carter.  Also left to remember her are her brother Gerald Peterkin, sister in law Sharon Sadowy, and niece and nephew Heather and Kevin, as well as many close friends.

Special thanks go to the staff of Betel home Selkirk and Dr. Sexton for the wonderful care for Louise in the last 7 months. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held.

She will be reunited with her granddaughter Hanna, parents Lorraine and Alexander (Papa), and her cats Bobo and Bailey.
