It’s with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving son, brother and uncle, Dana Cory Barron.
Dana leaves to celebrate his life, his mother, Darlene Barron, his brother, Dwain Barron (Linda Molinski) and niece and nephews Alexis Dube and Evan Dube, Taylor (Nicole and Brynley) Barron and Keven (Leilah Perchaluk) Barron. He also leaves his beloved dogs Buff and Charlie.
He was predeceased by his father Alex Barron, his sister Darcie Dube and his sister-in-law Laurie Barron (Rice).
Dana was born and raised in Winnipeg in the St. James area where he made many lasting friendships over the years. Dana had a big heart and would try to help anyone if he could. He loved to laugh and always had a funny video to share. Dana was a big Winnipeg Jets fan. His dog Buff was named after Dustin Byfuglien. He later adopted a second dog named Charlie (after Charlie Huddy). He enjoyed watching his “kids” play constantly every day. They were a great joy in his life.
A private family celebration will be held.

Frank Ronald McKinnon passed away peacefully at Grace Hospital with family by his side on July 29, 2025.
Frank was born April 24, 1934 in Alexander, MB. He was one of fourteen children. He attended school at Alexander, MB. Frank and his siblings worked on the farm as children and as a young man went off to find work in Brandon. He met his love of his life, Ruth Bolton and they were married November 9, 1957. Their lives together saw many opportunities.
They moved to many Hydro towns following his career with Manitoba Hydro. Ruth predeceased him in May of 1999. Dad moved from Brandon to Lac du Bonnet, then to Selkirk before settling in the senior’s complex at Woodlands, MB where he resided for the last 8 years. The poem “The Dash” by Linda Ellis sums up all the living between the day he was born to the day he passed.
Frank will be lovingly remembered by his family.
Daughter Lorna Broadfoot (Grant) – Children Kim, Kayla (Al), Kristyn (Stephen), Kari, Kelcey (Jules) – Great Grandson Sylas, Great-Grandchildren Serena (Seth) great-great grandchildren Sierra and Scarlett, Grandchildren Cohen and Carter, Son Ron McKinnon (Cathy) – Children Lisa, Darcie (Tyler) – Great-Grandchildren Hailey, Hunter, Hayden, and Hannah, Son Kevin McKinnon (Chris) – Child Justin (Angela) – Great-Grandchildren Corbin and Lucas.
Frank is survived by his sisters Alma Beare, Marie (Barry) Pearce, and brother Wayne McKinnon and sister-in-law’s Irene Robson, and Shirley Belous, along with numerous nieces and nephews. His parents and in-laws and multiple siblings and brother and sister-in-law’s have predeceased him.
Dad was a hardworking man and found it difficult to age and not have the strength and ability he was so accustomed to. Dad loved playing cards and would act as though he wasn’t too good but that is so far from the truth and it was always fun to best him at a game as you knew you had done good!
Frank has been cremated and a private burial will occur at a future date.

It is with a heavy heart we announce the peaceful passing of Audrey Pearl Orr (nee Walker) on August 22, 2025.
Audrey passed at the Selkirk Regional Hospital and was surrounded by her loving family.
Audrey was born near Glentworth, Saskatchewan February 8, 1931. She is predeceased by her parents, George and Lydia Walker, her husband Cecil of 55 years and brother George.
She will be forever missed by her niece Dawn (Mike), stepdaughters and lifelong friends.
Audrey was the life of the party, one who never turned down an adventure. She was always a generous hostess, supportive wife and caring friend.
Audrey will be laid to rest alongside her father and brother in Limerick, Saskatchewan.
A private Celebration of Life was held to honor her life.

With family by his side at Grace Hospital, Paul Brendan Sutton passed away on March 17th, just three weeks short of his 95th birthday.
Paul was born in Winnipeg on April 8, 1930. The youngest of 5 boys, he is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Evelyn Sutton (Doherty), brothers John, Ned, Ray, and Joe. Also predeceased by nieces Diane and Sheila, and nephews Michael, Paul and Greg. He leaves behind to celebrate his life, nephews, Patrick of Lloydminster, SK, Joe of Moncton, NB, John (Mara) of London, ON, and nieces, Dr. Evelyn Sutton (Rob Macdonald) of Halifax, NS, Elizabeth (Ralph VanWerkhoven) of Coaldale, AB, niece-in-law Sharon Sutton of Selkirk, MB, and great nephew Brendon, of Selkirk, along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews across the country.
A self-proclaimed “confirmed bachelor”, Paul was known for his wry sense of humour and dry wit, and though somewhat shy, could easily entertain a room if called on. He loved aviation, had his pilot’s license and once owned a glider.
After taking early retirement from his career as an air traffic control supervisor in Winnipeg, Paul enjoyed being active with his local curling club. A lifelong Blue Bomber fan, he took over his father’s season tickets, dating back to Osborne Stadium, eventually passing them on to nephew Greg, whose recent unexpected passing resulted in Brendon becoming the 4th generation to hold the seats.
Paul took great joy in being around his family, although he wouldn’t hesitate to let you know when it was time for him to seek solitude. When he uttered “oh hell’s bells” or “Lord love a duck”, or we could hear the impatient jingling of coins in his pockets as he stood near the door, we all knew he had pretty much exhausted his desire for social interaction. Known for his incredible generosity, he always seemed to be able to come up with the perfect gift at Christmas.
Special thanks to the staff at the Bolton, Homecare Manitoba and all the medical professionals that supported Paul. Most importantly, thanks to the late Greg Sutton, his wife Sharon and son Brendon for the tremendous care and assistance to him over the years.
Funeral service will take place on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at the St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 320 St. Charles Street, Winnipeg, MB., with ashes to be interred at St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date.

It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth Marion Nuttall announces her passing on Friday November 25th, 2022 at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre in Selkirk, MB.
Elizabeth was born on February 17th, 1937 in Fort Frances, Ontario to Leonard Francis and Sarah Eileen Williams. As a young woman, she moved to Minneapolis with her first spouse Gary, where she enjoyed working as an Executive Assistant with an architecture firm. Her next stop was Winnipeg, where she lovingly raised her four children, Greg, Mark, Dale and Laurie. She also obtained a Fine Arts Degree from the University of Manitoba and enjoyed painting and pottery, artistic skills she occasionally put to professional use doing freelance design. Discovering her entrepreneurial spirit, she moved to Winnipeg Beach, becoming the sole owner and proprietor of the Lone Oak Motel, which she successfully operated for many years, making lifelong friends in the process. After supposedly “retiring”, Liz was not someone to sit still long, and continued to work into her 80s! She most recently enjoyed working as a personal support worker, providing special care to her clients, many of whom faced great challenges.
Elizabeth loved the water and swimming, as well as cross country skiing, playing the organ, baking, gardening, crossword puzzles, games, reading, poetry, and spending time with family. She was so proud of all her grandchildren. Her homemade cookies and jams were eagerly awaited. A lifelong learner, she remained open to new experiences, to trying a new activity or sport, and was keenly engaged with current events and political and financial news her whole life.
Elizabeth was united in marriage to her beloved spouse, and fellow entrepreneur, Brian Matthew Armstrong, on February 11th, 2005. They enjoyed living in the country at the Sundown Ranch with their horses, going on trail rides, playing games with friends, sampling each other’s delicious cooking, gathering with family, and dancing, including square dances and their favourite, the “Midnight Waltz”. They liked to travel to Arizona in the winter, but mainly spent their time in the beautiful Interlake area. Most recently they had returned to Winnipeg Beach where they enjoyed relaxing in their cozy home together in front of the fire.
Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her beloved husband Brian; her children Greg (Heather), Mark, Laurie (Donald); her brother Richard Williams (Peggy); sisters-in-law Antonia Williams and Lenore Williams; daughter-in-law Sylvia; four stepdaughters, their spouses and family. Grandchildren Ace, Max, Blake, Jack, Aria and numerous step grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Dale, her parents Leonard Francis and Sarah Eileen Williams, stepdaughter Jean Armstrong, and brothers Herbert and John Williams.
Interment will take place at a later date at Fort Frances Cemetery in Fort Frances, ON.
