Audrey Gale Carpenter (Nee Hygaard)

August 4, 1959 – September 11, 2024

Suddenly and peacefully, surrounded by her family, Audrey (Audey) took her last breath, called home by her predeceased daughter, her baby girl, Angela Dawn, on Angela’s birthday.

Audrey was known for her love of food (and salt). She was always on board to enjoy a family dinner or share a recipe that she had collected in her head to anyone who asked.

Audrey is survived by her children Kerry (Jamie), Will (Kathy), Kristin (Les) and precious Adam (Ashley), and her nephew Paul, who was like a son. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Lynda, Laurie, Scott, Frank and Stuart, along with many nieces and nephews.

Audrey also had many grandchildren who were the light of her life, Braden (Abii), Mason, Faith, Avery, Tristen, Cameron, Gracie, Dylan, Brooke, Sophia and Carter.

Audrey was predeceased by her partner Bob, her parents Jack and Mae and her sisters Kathy and Shirley and her sister-in-law, Debby.

Family and friends are invited to share memories and condolences on Audrey’s memorial page using the comment field below.

I was shocked to find this today. Audrey and I plus our friend Joan were the girls who grew up together on Newton Avenue. We all started school together. I was in Audrey’s wedding party and she was my maid of honour. Lots of memories hanging out together on Newton and are special memories for me. My/our deepest condolences to the Hygaard/Carpenter family.
