Peacefully on June 16th, 2024, Madeline Bodie passed away at the age of 72 after a lengthy battle with several health issues. She is survived by her husband Wayne of 53 years, sister-in-law Sharron (Warren), nephew Kevin (Kristen), niece Krista (Dean) and several great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Mary, dad Roman, cousins Steven and Timothy.
Madeline was born and grew up in Winnipeg. During her married life her and Wayne were posted in many Northern Canadian communities, as well as Selkirk, MB. Throughout the years, Madeline worked at these postings where she made close friends. She will be remembered for her beautiful needlework pictures and her sewing talent. She also enjoyed volunteering to make perogies at her local church. Madeline’s love for her dogs was a great support for her over the years.
A special thank you to her Seven Oaks home care coordinator Deborah for her support and home care workers who took excellent care of her. Also thank you to the doctors and nurses at HSC for their kindness and care during her last few days.
Cremation has taken place and a family service is planned for a later date.
