I wish to extend my “Sincere Sympathy ” to John, Derek, Mark and all the Burnside and Wiens families on the passing of Cheryl . I was a classmate of Cheryl’s at the Misericordia, graduating in 1967.
Some of our classmates were together last summer and we had a really nice visit with Cheryl which we are truly thankful for.

Cheryl was one of my instructors at St Boniface Hospital School of Nursing then I was fortunate to come across her again years later as Unit Manager on GB3 when she hired me as a staff nurse. She made her staff feel valued and respected while transitions in the hospital created uncertainty and tensions.
My deepest sympathy to Cheryl’s family and friends.
