Dear Doug, Steven, Kaniuga & Andy Monostori Families
We are broken hearted that Doreen has passed.
    My dear friend Doreen:
I so miss our daily calls full of laughter, occasional ranting, reminiscing of our younger years. No man or woman could shift a 4 speed or pop a clutch like Doreen.
Whether it be Doug’s 65 Malibu or Andy’s 70 Acadian, boy we had fun. Climbing through the grade 10 window at GCC to get a better look at the boys running track. And the list goes on and on. So many great memories to hold in my heart.
Our deepest condolences for such a great loss.
    Peggy & Igor Murenko

My heartfelt condolences Doug, Steven and of course Smokey, of Doreen’s passing.
Doreen and I shared many adventures from sleepovers, at the age of 13, to working at ROCO, going to Twin Beaches, the Speedway, Assiniboine Downs, Folklorama, trips to Minneapolis. My first airplane flight was with Doreen. We spent alot of time in Doug’s parent’s garage watching Doug and his friends, dad and brother work on cars. And yes, Doreen taught me how to stick shift, four on the floor. We drifted apart while raising our kids but rekindled and started talking and seeing each other right where we left off. Then it was Grand Beach, Kenora, Mpls. (Doreen drove me to my brother’s funeral in Mpls. – that’s how very kind Doreen was) and then of course, Tucson. I will miss you my dear friend. Love you.
