Bev Limerick (nee Sawrenko)

With great sadness we announce the passing of Bev Limerick on July 22, 2022, loving wife to George Limerick, her best friend for over 29 years. Together George and Bev built a beautiful Life. They spent countless hours in their award winning garden at their little piece of paradise at Lester Beach, MB.

Bev was born in Flin Flon, MB to loving parents, Paul and Laura Sawrenko.

She  is survived by her husband George, mother Laura, brother,  Ronnie (Elise), daughter Kelly (Mark) and grandchildren Brayden and Ella.

Bev always took pride in taking care of others. Whether that be as a nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, she always selflessly put others’ needs ahead of her own.

As per her  wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, should you choose, donations can be made in Bev’s name to Cancer Care Manitoba.

Friends and family are invited to share memories and condolences on Bev’s memorial page by using the comment field below.

I’ve only had the pleasure of knowing Bev for the last six years, meeting her when we stopped in Lester Beach on our trip,, during my move to Victoria from Ottawa.
We had our Yellow Lab, Sunny, with us and George and Bev gave us our own cabin although they also did that on our next visit without the dog.
Bev was the consummate host and we thoroughly enjoyed her cooking and George’s BBQ.
I had recently gotten together with George‘s daughter Lynn, and Bev (and George) immediately made my feel at home and a (new) part of the family.
I immediately knew Bev was a special person and my recent visits confirmed that, so my deepest condolences to George and the rest of their family.

I am so sorry you have lost Bev. She was a classmate and friend in Flin Flon. Then she was in nurses’ training at The Victoria Hospital with my sister, Noreen.
We remember her as a lively, very nice person. a light has gone out of the world.
    Sincerely,
    Bonnie Berry
