My deepest condolences go out to Patti, Lisa and Rhonda and extended family of the passing of their father, my Uncle Ron, xoxoxo
I have fond childhood memories of coming to Winnipeg to visit my Baba Julie and of course Ron and the girls always came down to visit us when we were in town. I’ll never forget his big smile and the kindness he always showed me. To me he was a man that truly lived in the present moment because he always gave me his undivided attention. When I left home from Thunder Bay to Winnipeg as a teenager I often went up to Winnipeg Beach to visit my Baba. Ron was frequently around as he always took care of her needs. He was a wonderful father and took care of his girls with such love and admiration. When going through his rough patches of being a single father not once did I hear him complain, discuss or talk negatively about the situation he was in. My father was very much the same. I don’t recall him speaking badly of anyone. As brothers they were similar in that regard. I so admired that. In 1979 I left Winnipeg to Vancouver Island and basically we did not keep in touch except for one time stopping with my own young children to visit Baba, which turned out to be the last time to see her. I vaguely recall he attended my father’s funeral 27 years ago but perhaps that was a phone call visit to my father before he died. May your happy memories of your father and grandfather fill your heart with love and peace to carry you on through your days in this life until you reach the other side with him. Sending love and prayers, Debbie
