
Peacefully on November 7, 2018, Ken went to his eternal sleep following a courageous battle with cancer.
Ken was born September 25, 1943 in Selkirk, MB. to Joseph and Kay Watson. He is survived by his loving wife Maxine “ his rock”, stepdaughters: Jolene (David ) Gitz of Shevlin, MN., Jenell (Edward) Pemble of Apache Junction, AZ and stepson Brian Stranger also of Apache Junction, AZ. He is also survived by his sister Donna (Richard) Kurbis of Selkirk, MB. , his brothers: Larry (Tracey) of Petersfield, MB., Keith (Carol) of Winnipeg, MB., and Tom( Darcie) of Lockport, MB. as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Ken will also be greatly missed by the “Special” loves of his life, his three poodles; Ivory, Lady and Tia.
As per Ken’s wishes cremation has taken place with burial in Minnesota at a later date.
A memorial luncheon will be served at the Royal Canadian Legion, 403 Eveline Street, Selkirk, MB. on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 1 pm to 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pawed Pals Rescue Inc. 511 Robinson Avenue, Selkirk, MB. R1A 1E.
Thank you to all the staff in the Palliative Care Unit at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre for your professional concern and gentle care and to the Doctors involved with Ken on this journey.
A special thanks to family, some of whom travelled from the States to be with Ken.
