Tracey Evelyn Gwynne

May 20, 1965 – October 28, 2025

After a lengthy battle with cancer, Tracey passed away peacefully with her family by her side.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Rob, son Jackson, daughter Amanda (Dale) and grandsons Ayden and Owen. She is also survived by her mother Linda, brother Ron (Lorrie), sister Shannon (Steve), nephew Kellen, brother-in-law Jim (Jill) and sister-in-law Heather (Jim), and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her dad Wayne Gibson, as well as her mother-in-law and father-in-law Peggy and Jack Gwynne.

Tracey was born in Geraldton, Ontario, moving to Winnipeg shortly after.

She was very active in sports growing up, excelling in both ringette and softball playing with Bronx Park and River East. She continued to play both sports well into her adult life. This love of sports only increased with Amanda and Jackson, never missing a chance to watch and cheer them on.

Tracey loved to travel. Whether it was to Cuba with the girls, trips to St Louis, Arizona and most recently St John’s Newfoundland with the baseball friends, Cartwright for Cousin’s Lunch, Man Cave visits or just the impromptu road trip, lasting memories were always made.

Tracey’s career spanned from Great West Life, Investors Group and Bell MTS, leaving an impact on others and earning respect by managing her team. She made many lifelong friends at work, creating lasting memories at company golf tournaments, Jets, Goldeyes and Bomber games and the always fun-filled Christmas parties. We all loved to hear about the antics following these events.

Those who knew Tracey will remember her zest for life and joy in having a great time with friends and family, leaving a legacy of love and laughter – a reminder that a full life is measured not by years, but by the joy and meaning created. Her most treasured moments were spent as Nana to Ayden and Owen, feeling truly blessed.

Tracey will be sadly missed. She has left us all with beautiful and fun-filled memories.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cancer Care and Selkirk Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba (Thoracic Department) or the Winnipeg Humane Society.

A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 14th at 2 pm, at East Selkirk Hall located at 711 Old Henderson Highway, East Selkirk, Manitoba.
