Sharon McLellan (née McCullough)

November 15, 1959 – July 25, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon McLellan (née McCullough) on July 25, 2025, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 65.

Sharon was born on November 15, 1959, in Winnipeg to Eva McCullough (née Karpick) and Gerald McCullough. She was deeply rooted in her community and cherished by all who knew her for her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family.

She was predeceased by her father Gerald, mother Eva, husband Ed, sister Kathleen, and daughter-in-law Alyssa.

Sharon is survived by her loving children: Cale (Asami), Jeremy (Camille), Stephan, and Lisa; her sister Linda; brothers Tim and Ken; and her cherished grandchildren: Peyton, Aidah, Ella, Kenji, and Levi.

Highlights of Sharon’s youth include her love of sports—she played, enjoyed, and excelled at softball, coached by her father, and spent many memorable years as a speed skater with the St. James Speed Skating Club. The club was a major part of her life growing up and a source of joy and accomplishment.

Sharon went on to attend nursing school and dedicated much of her career to helping others as a nurse at the Health Sciences Centre. She also spent many joyful summers serving as the camp nurse at Faith Bible Camp, where her compassion and energy were a blessing to many.

In the later years of her adult life, Sharon became highly knowledgeable in alternative health treatments. She took pride in sharing her vast medical and health knowledge with anyone who needed guidance or support, always eager to help others feel better in both body and spirit.

Family was at the heart of Sharon’s life. She was always deeply involved in her children’s lives, keeping them busy with sports, church, and activities. Alongside her husband Ed, Sharon fostered many children over the years—creating a loving, welcoming home where countless young people found care, guidance, and joy. There are many more sons and daughters out there who will remember Sharon’s kindness and spirit.

Her home on Whitegates Crescent was a place where fun, laughter, and hospitality were always in full supply. She was beloved not only by her own children, but also by their friends from school and church, all of whom were welcomed like family. Sharon had a larger-than-life personality, and she made sure every holiday—especially Christmas and Thanksgiving—was a time of joy, tradition, and togetherness.

A time of remembrance will be held on Thursday, August 7, starting at 7:00 p.m. at St. James Gospel Chapel, 337 Inglewood Street, Winnipeg.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Faith Bible Camp, an organization close to Sharon’s heart.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.

Sharon Darlene Stebeleski (nee Waytowich)

October 26, 1954 – September 24, 2023

On September 24, 2023 Sharon passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 68.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years Merv; two daughters, Chelsea (Steve), Sarah (Jolyne), grandsons Finn and Kai, sister Barb (Gerry), friends and relatives.

Sharon was born at the Shoal Lake Hospital on October 26, 1954 to Stephen and Margaret Waytowich. She graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the University of Manitoba. After graduating, she worked at Mony Life and CP Rail. During her employment at CP Rail, after a health issue affected her eyesight, her interests shifted and she began studying holistic healing and herbal medicine. This new chapter took Sharon on many trips to conferences and workshops, fulfilling her passion for reading and continually learning everything she could about healing others and herself. Sharon opened her own business, Naturally Yours, where she specialized in helping not only humans but animals as well.

Sharon had a real love for animals, which lead to the family relocating to acreage in Lorette, Manitoba where they lived for 22 years. Here, they raised horses, cats, dogs, goats, and chickens. What started as a hobby farm quickly grew into another business venture for Sharon where the family helped breed high quality, warmblood horses, which were sold across North America.

Sharon was a very spirited soul and would go all out in many things in her life. In the past year, she took up a passion for succulent plants. Every morning she would greet them with a smile and a “good morning.” As with many of her passions, a couple of plants quickly grew into a jungle with plants in every room of the house. She loved when her two grandsons would come visit and sing and dance for her. She could watch them for hours play with their favorite race car track, which they would assemble throughout her house.

The family would like to thank VIP Homecare and all those who helped care for Sharon, many of whom became close friends. Special thank you to Health Care Aides Catherine, Samara, Bunmi, Magdelena, Barb and Mayanie.

Keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on November 10, 2023 at Coutu Funeral Chapel at 2:00pm at 680 Archibald St. Winnipeg.
