A few lines from one of her favorite verses:

The angels bekon from Heaven’s door,
And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.
O Lord you know, I have no friend like you.

Rest in peace Mom, we all miss you and loved you more.

Mom was cremated and her wishes were no service. A family burial will take place at a later date.

George (Harry) Freeman

June 2nd, 1941 – May 17th, 2022

It is with deep sadness for our own loss that we announce the passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, brother and friend to all, George (Harry) Freeman.

It is with joy in our hearts that we celebrate George’s peaceful passing on to be with our Heavenly Father. George is now with his beloved parents, Harry & Bonnie Freeman, brother Ron (Pung), sister Peggy, and brother Tommy, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who have gone before him.

George is survived by his wife Kathy, siblings Bob, Richard, Gary, Roddy, Betty, Gerry and Tannis, son Vince, (Jeannine) , daughter Francine (Mike), step-daughter Jacki (Aaron), Grandchildren Tyler (Alicia), Joshua (Alex), Jessica, Kyla, Keana, and Michael, Alexis and Nickolas great grandchildren Nevaeh, Willow, Mikayla and Rylee,  as well as our large circle of family and friends.

We thank Dr. Demsas for his care and compassion, as well as the staff of Selkirk General Hospital. Special thanks to Archdeacon Godfrey Mawejji for his guidance, prayers, love and loss of sleep on our behalf.

Anyone who knew George will remember him to have been a tall, self-assured, gregarious story-teller. He had a love of old cars, which he turned into a back yard car collection/wrecking yard, and a weekend passion for racing at Brooklands Speedway. He had the courage to leave a good government job at the Queen’s Printer and follow his dream of becoming a professional photographer. He cashed out his pension as seed money, put on a cowboy hat and boots, and never looked back. He and his wife Kathy travelled western Canada with their Olde Tyme Photo Parlour business setting up at the Calgary Stampede, the PNE, and the Winnipeg Ex, the Saskatoon Fair, Klondike Days in Edmonton and numerous smaller fairs and shopping malls in-between.

To my beloved husband George, your “Little Baby” loves and misses you dearly.

Until we meet again, I shall remain yours truly, Kathy.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Clements Anglican Church,  1178 River Road, Selkirk, MB  with Archdeacon Godfrey Mawejji officiating.  Interment to follow in the St. Clements Cemetery.
