Beryl Edith Smith (nee Williamson)

Peacefully after a brief battle with cancer Mum passed away on March 8, 2025 in her 91st year.

She was predeceased by her husband Jim, daughter Karen, father J.C. (Kelly) and mother Irene Williamson.

She is survived by her daughter Colleen Smith (Ron Almdal); son Norman Smith; son Lorne Smith; daughter Diane Kilcollins (Peter); daughter Sherril Smith; granddaughters Kendal (Richard), Crystal (Nick), Kaitlin (Scott); great grandchildren Sadie & Tobias; brother Alan (Marianne) and their family.

Mum was a very giving mother who loved family and friends. She devoted her life to her husband Jim, raising their 6 children and caring for Karen’s health and well-being throughout her life.

We thank the nurses at the Victoria Hospital for their care and to Dr. Penner for his impeccable bedside manner when he informed Mum of her diagnosis. We also want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Blom and the staff at Riverview 2 West for their incredible care and compassion throughout this very difficult time. In addition, we thank Rick at Interlake Cremation & Memorial Service for his outstanding service.

As per Mum’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a private family interment at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice.

Mum…..your love and kindness was immeasurable. We are forever grateful.

Edith Noella Marie MacDougall (nee Labossiere)

DEC 17, 1941 – FEBRUARY 21, 2023

With great sadness we announce the passing of Edith in the Stonewall hospital.

She was predeceased by her husband Ian in 2003.

Left to mourn is her son Randy of Stonewall, daughter Marilyn{ Rainer} of Winnipeg and grandchildren Melanie and Montana. She is survived by her sisters Lucille and Clemence{ {Marcel} and numerous nephews and nieces as well as dear friends Eleanor, Luella and Bernice.

Special thanks to Dr Graham, her home care team and nurses.

In compliance with Edith’s wishes Cremation has taken place and no funeral will be held. Burial will be held at a later date.
