Donald (Jack) McMillan

April 19, 1939 – August 20, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack McMillan on August 20, 2025 at the age of 86. At his request there will not be a service.

After many years living at Donwood Manor, with his partner, Dorothy, Jack moved to Park Manor Personal Care Home in July. He really enjoyed the residents and staff in both places, already making new friends at Park Manor. The Park Manor staff spoke very highly of him and his friendly personality.

Jack is survived by his partner Dorothy, his children April (Keith), Brad, Kelly (Dan) Todd, Kevin, Ken and his daughter in law Gail McMillan; his grand-children, Michelle (Jasen), Taylor (Damian) and great grandchildren, Brayden, Chloe, Declan and Violet, as well as his brother Gordon (Diana) McMillan, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Jack was predeceased by his parents Chris and Don, brother Neil, son Doug, and grandson Russell.

Donald Gordon Cusson

September 19, 1947 – June 19, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Gordon Cusson at the age of 77 years old in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He passed away on June 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends in his final moments.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and a cherished friend. His hard work ethics, words of wisdom, and sense of humor will be missed by everyone that knew him. He loved fishing with his buddies and he adored every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren.

As per Don’s wishes, a private celebration of life will take place for close family and friends at a later date.

Donald James Collins

September 28, 1944 – February 6, 2025

Donald passed away peacefully in the early evening of February 6, 2025, at the Grace Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. His friend and companion of 33 years, Agnes, was by his side. 

​Don was predeceased by his parents Jack and Phyllis Collins, and sister Beth.

He is survived by his son Curtis (Clarice) and their children Rayna, Gracie, Serenity, Curtis, Brinley, and Lincoln; his beloved partner, Agnes, her two daughters Donna (Jack), and Deborah, and dear family friend, Kal. He was Grandpa Don to Kyleen, Lauren, and Eric and was soon-to-be a great grandpa by his granddaughter Kyleen. He is also survived by his sister Sandra (Doug), brothers Brian (Diana), and John, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

​Donald was born in Winnipeg and was very proud of his Scottish and Irish heritage. He was a proud Veteran in the Armed Forces, and we are grateful for his service to our country. Donald joined the Cadets at an early age and enlisted in the Canadian Military, serving with P.P.C.L.I., Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders in Canada, Germany, Cypress, and Egypt. Donald had a good work ethic and had many careers, always giving his best in whatever he was doing. Upon returning to Canada, he served with the Queen’s Own Cameron for several years. After retiring from the military, Donald served as a security Commissionaire at the University of Manitoba. He was a proud member of the Canadian Legion No. 100 Charleswood Branch, and during his time there, he served as Sergeant at Arms with dignity and volunteered with the sick and visiting committee. 

​Donald had many social connections and enjoyed camping, curling, bowling, family holiday celebrations, and many Legion events.  Many memories were made visiting the McLeod retreat at Fisher Bay, Manitoba and annual summer visits to Norway House to celebrate York Boat Days. He enjoyed taking in the culture and history of the North. ​Grandpa Don never missed a family event, celebration, or holiday. He was always present at important life moments of those closest to him and generously gave treats to all the kids.

​​A Memorial Service to honour Donald will be held on Thursday February 20th at 1:00 p.m. at the Charleswood Legion, 6003 Roblin Blvd. A private family internment will be held at a later date at Brookside Cemetery in the Field of Honour.

A special heartfelt thank you to all of the physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals from the community and hospitals. A special thank you to the Grace Hospital 5 South Ward who provided excellent and compassionate care to our beloved Donald. You are all very special caregivers.

Donald Edward Feakes

September 15, 1941 – February 19, 2023

“If it’s Plaster than I’m the Master”

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Donald Edward Feakes surrounded by loved ones at his residence, on February 19, 2023, at the age of 81 Years.

Don E. was predeceased by his daughters; Jody Ann, Sharon, sons; Donn, Jay, his brother Terry, Bill and his parents Jessie and Jack.

Don E. will be lovingly and forever remembered by his devoted wife Barbara, daughters; Candice (Dave), Lindsay (Marc), his beautiful grandchildren,; Mitchell, Raya, Vivian, Marek, brothers; John, David, Ken (June), sisters; Betty (Don), Pat, Darlene, Maureen, Debbie, numerous nieces, nephews , great-nieces and great-nephews and many, many friends.

In accordance with Don E.’s wishes there will be no service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Don E. Feakes to Cancer Care Manitoba.

Grampi will be lovingly remembered and forever missed.

Donald Harvey Beckel

July 9, 1929 – May 10, 2022

On May 10, 2022, after a long and well lived life, Donald “Harvey” Beckel passed away. Left with wonderful memories are his daughters, Donna (Brad) and Lois (Bernie), grandsons Jeffrey and Barry (Aubrey),  long time  companion Pauline and her daughters Linda (Rodney), Mindy (Serge), Cindy and their families

He was predeceased by his wife Jerrie, step-son Ronald and grandson Scott.

Dad never liked a fuss made over him, so to respect his wishes no formal service will occur. A private family and friends  celebration will take place at a later date.
