


It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of James (Jim) Bridgman on
December 24th, 2024 at the age of 79 at St. Boniface Hospital with his family by his side.
Jim leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his wife Dale, children Bill (Tammy), Nona, Charmaine (James) and Jamie (Jim) and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jim’s sisters, Helen, Charlene, and Joy (Kirby). Along with extended family, in-laws Diane (Wally), Sandy, Dave (Linda), Ken (Gail), Cheryl, Nancy (Manuel), Raymond (Ivy), Casey (Roberta), Sheila (John), Gary (Tracy), Ismael and cousins Patrick, Chris and Lenny.
Jim met Dale in 1973 and married July 6, 1982. Jim was a metal worker and worked for “Metal Pac For” for 35 years. When Jim and Dale moved to Teulon, he built a shop so that he could continue his metal work in his spare time. Jim also enjoyed gardening, fishing, bonfires and going to Rubber Ducky Resort every summer. He also got to experience an NFL game in Minneapolis and see his favourite team, the Minnesota Viking’s win.
Jim and Dale went on a trip to Hawaii and then to Australia to see his cousins. He enjoyed many trips, going to the states to the Shooting Star with Dale, her sisters and their husbands. After living in Teulon for 20 years, they moved to Selkirk. For the past 3 years living in Selkirk, they enjoyed playing bingo and cribbage at the Legion and also fishing off of the Selkirk dock with family.
In accordance with Jim’s wishes cremation has taken place and a family internment will occur at a later date.
