Upon his return, he learned of a new family that had moved across the river. Steering his little boat across, he took one look at Claire and the rest is history… 6 months later they were married.
Aime’s dream of having a big family became a reality, having 7 children, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.

We will all remember and cherish dad’s devotion to family and deep faith in God.
He brought his many talents to the church parish council, the church choir, his membership at the local Army and Navy, and his many years on the Cartier Manor Board.
When he retired, he enjoyed spending his time in his yard and tending to his garden. He fed the birds year round so that he could observe and hear them from his living room window or while enjoying a beer in his swing at the end of his day.
Playing cards was his favorite pastime. Many fond memories were made around a table. He loved his Thursday night cribbage outings at ANAF 283. He played his final card game on New Years Day with family, but his last hurrah was winning 1st place at the monthly ANAF 283 cribbage tournament in December, declaring “I still got it!”.
