Deborah (Deb) Louise Allan (nee Goodman)

It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah Louise Allan on Thursday, April 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She left us peacefully at the age of 71 years, with family by her side.

Deb was predeceased by her father Bennie Goodman, mother Jonina Goodman, sister Leslie Sigvaldason, father-in-law Gerald Allan and brother-in-law Ron Allan. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband David; her sons John (Carol), Ian (Marcy), Kyle (Stephanie); grandchildren, Scott, Jack, Shane, Jason; siblings Beverley Widenmaier (Gord), Maureen Palson (Dan), Darryl Goodman (Kathleen); mother-in-law Arlene Ericson; sister-in law Sandra Demarco (Terry); brother-in-law Lorne Sigvaldason; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; special relations Katie and Sheryl; additional relatives and friends.

Deborah was born December 31, 1954, in Arborg, Manitoba. She grew up in Arborg, moving later to Winnipeg, where she met her husband David, whom she married in January, 1989. Deb and “her boys” eventually moved outside the city limits, settling in Navin, near Dugald, Manitoba, where she was once again able to enjoy rural life.

Deb worked in the medical field for most of her life, first as a clerk in the Emergency department at Concordia hospital and later as a medical transcriptionist. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and crafting. She was gifted with an artistic intuition and a craftsman’s mindset, which allowed her to create wonderful creations. She was always doing some sort of “crafty” project and found joy in such work. She was also exceptionally skilled as a seamstress and sewed, knit and crocheted many beautiful treasures.  Deb was also proud of her Icelandic heritage. She enjoyed researching her ancestry and was interested in the lives and stories of past generations. Most of all, Deb enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a proud Amma and her grandsons brought her much joy and happiness. She enjoyed playing with them, doing arts and crafts, and watching them grow.

The family would like to thank Dr. Paul, the staff of CancerCare Manitoba, staff on Ward 6E at St. Boniface Hospital, and the staff at Selkirk General Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit for all of their care and kindness.

Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will occur at a later date. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed!

Those we love don’t go away.
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near.
Loved and missed, you will always remain.
Goda Nott Elskan

Allan Bruce Falkenberg

January 27, 1960 – June 24, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Allan Bruce Falkenberg on Tuesday June 24, 2025, at the age of 65.

Allan was predeceased by his parents, Marianne (2017) and Kurt Falkenberg (1992), his brother Ralph Falkenberg (2023), and brother-in-law Juan Barbachano (2021).

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 25 years Theresa Lane, his son Kurtis Falkenberg, sisters Ines Falkenberg Barbachano and Janet Sul, nephews Bosco Barbachano, Lucas Horn and Matthew Horn, nieces Carina Barbachano and Robin Sul, the Becker family and his extended family in Germany.

Allan was born in Winnipeg, MB and raised in Elmwood.  In his early years, his family moved to Northern Manitoba and managed a garage station and restaurant in Overflowing River, near the Pas, MB. This is where he became an avid outdoorsman and was proud to pass along those skills to his son.

After graduation from Swan Valley High School in 1978 he moved to Winnipeg and immediately gained employment at a Furniture Manufacturing Plant. He was a Production Manager for 35 years until he was forced to retire due to a traumatic brain injury in 2013. He enjoyed small outings on his bike and the daily entertainment of the wildlife surrounding our area, especially all the birds, foxes and deer that visit our yard.  A subsequent stroke in 2023 left Allan immobile, but he was fortunate to remain at home with his wife along with the assistance of daily Home Care Services.

Allan was a kind soul and he loved his family dearly. He enjoyed a good party, a good German beer and always made friends wherever he went.  He will be profoundly missed by those who love him.

We would like to thank all the Home Care staff for their care and kindness shown to Allan, especially Channelle and Nancy whom he looked forward to seeing each day.  We would also like to thank the staff of GB2 at HSC for the comfort and dignity they provided to Allan until his journey from this life was complete.

Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held to honor Allan.  He will reside in all the places that mean the most to him and gave him great joy and comfort.

In memory of Allan, please consider making a donation to an animal shelter of your choice.

Kurtis: “Langsam, aber sicher”.

Theresa: “Sleep Well, My Love”.
