July 27, 1949 – January 20, 2026
Larry Swain was 76 years old when he passed away on January 20th, 2026.
Known for his kindness and quick sense of humour, he never hesitated to help anyone in need. Whether it was lending a hand, sharing a laugh, or simply showing up when it mattered, he made life a little easier for those around him.
Larry was a devoted husband and father. He had a special love for dogs and was rarely without treats in his pocket, always ready to spoil any four-legged friend he met. It will be strange not seeing his work van driving through town anymore, a familiar sight that brought comfort to many. Larry’s presence will be deeply missed, but his kindness will not be forgotten.
A memorial service for family and friends will be announced at a later date.
Family and friends are invited to share memories and condolences on Larry’s memorial page using the comment field below.

Many great memories of Larry n Lorraine looking out for us as kids. And if it was a sleepover? You’d think someone opened up a breakfast buffet restaurant while we slept! Alot of great times in that Elvis Presley basement!
Our sincere condolences to Larry’s family & friends, may he rest in peace…

Sending thoughts and prayers to Trevor and Tyler and their families. Always enjoyed catching up with Larry and Lorraine. I remember fondly the summer I stayed with them as a teenager when Trevor was just a baby. Larry was a kind, gentle person who will be greatly missed!
Sympathy to the family! Larry was most cheerful and helpful man. He did work for me many times fixing refrigeration, AC, and furnace repairs. Mae Fidler- Fast

Very fortunate to have spent 20+ years as Larry’s neighbor. What a great guy – willing to do anything for you and always ready to sit down for a cold beer and a chat. Condolences to Trevor and Tyler – your Dad will be missed by many.
I was a longtime customer of Larry’s. He was a kind man with a gentle way about him and a man of integrity.
I appreciated his professional advice and placed my trust in his skilled abilities. He was always just a phone call away and quick to deal with situations.
He spoke fondly of Lorraine ….may they rest in eternal peace together.
Condolences to the family.
I first met Larry when we both went to the old three room Lockport School. However my interaction with Larry, primarily relate to the times he came over and serviced our furnace and air conditioner. He was a conscientious gentleman with a good sense of humour and I looked forward to his visits. We shared stories of the old times, how his son Tyler was doing, (I helped coach Tyler in soccer a few times), and in recent times like typical adults our age, discussed health ailments. However, the image that will always stay with me is when he would sit down on our little brown bench to clean out our furnace and Louie, our little West Highland Terrier, would sit next to him like a supervisor checking out what Larry was doing. Louie was very curious and Larry would patiently talk to him like Louie was an apprentice. It was priceless. Which leads me to an issue I hope has been satisfactorily resolved. Larry owns two little dogs of his own which he always talked about in the most loving way. I am positive they miss Larry dearly. I hope they will go together to a new forever home.
Marlene and I offer our sincerest condolences to Larry’s family at this very difficult time. Peace be with you Larry.
