December 6, 1981 – June 29, 2024
We, the family, mournfully announce the sudden passing of Amber Dawn Jacqueline Bird, 43, of Selkirk, MB. Amber passed away on June 29, 2024 in Ormond Beach, Florida with her sister Tanis, mother-in-law Debra, Eric and her two children Jayden 14 and Destin 16 by her bedside.
Amber, born to parents Jack and Naomi Bird, took her first breath on December 6, 1981. Amber was a force to be reckoned with from the get-go, graduating from the Selkirk Comprehensive and then going on to Red River College.
Amber moved out to Florida where she started her family. She was especially close to her mother-in-law Debra and her son. Amber was working at the Peach Café at the time of her passing. She had many close co-workers and customers that will always remember Ambers smile and big heart.
Amber was predeceased by her mother Naomi Bird, Grandparents Helen Stranger/Earle Hendrickson, Annie and Charles Bird, Uncle Todd Stranger and nephew Dylan Kirton.
Left to mourn are Ambers sons, Jayden and Destin Greer and their father Eric, mother-in-law Debra Greer, her loving partner Vince Ellsworth, Father Jack Bird, Sister Tanis (Wayne) Kirton, Brother Duane (Tina) Bird, special Aunts and Uncles Camille (Tom) Martyniw, Lyla Bird, Merle Bird, Nieces and Nephews Jory and Tristan Kirton, Aimee Bruening, Jordan Lewis, Mallory Martyniw, Chanel, Grayson and Trinity.
Interment for family and friends will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Old St. Peter Dynevor Cemetery, East Selkirk. Lunch to follow at the Selkirk Friendship Centre, 425 Eveline Street, Selkirk, MB., on October 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
