Kenneth Joseph Lavallee

March 31, 1948 – April 1, 2026

Ken passed away peacefully at Dear Lodge Centre on April 1, 2026, with his wife and daughter by his side. He was predeceased by his father Fred Sr., mother Terri (Coutu) and brother Fred.

He is survived by his wife Donna (nee Gunnarson), daughter Nicole (Gord Ziegler), a brother and three sisters, and many close relatives and friends.

Ken worked in the automotive industry as a Parts Manager for almost all his career at Gladstone Datsun/Nissan, McPhillips Suzuki, and Winnipeg and Crown Honda. He made many connections in the industry, and you could always count on him for advice in his field.

Ken was active in many sports over the years and enjoyed the comradery that it brought. Fastball, slow pitch, curling and competitive pool were his favourite to play but he also enjoyed watching sports and cheering on his favorite teams, the Jets, Bluejays and Dallas Cowboys. He also loved hunting and fishing, socials, playing cards with family and Texas hold-em nights with the gang.

Summers were spent at the cabin in Onanole, where so many great memories were made. In the boat on the lake followed by a fish fry on the deck with a Bud, sharing stories for hours, or just sitting around the campfire with friends and family singing classic country tunes.

Ken also loved a good winter vacation with family and friends and was fortunate to travel to a variety of places seeing new sights, deep sea fishing and making memories to tell even more stories.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, for his quick wit, dry humour, generosity, or a bit of advice.

Rest in peace.
