It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of David Lambert on December 16, 2020 at the age of 74, with his loving wife by his side.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Odile (née) Vandel; his children Donald (Mary), Pierre (Jenn) and Patrick; his grandchildren Noah, Matthew, Morgan, Gavin and Jack; brother and sisters Monique (Robert Vincent), René (Glynis), Marie (Guy Delorme) and sister in-law Jacqueline as well and many other in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends. David was predeceased by his parents Lucien and Thérèse (Trudeau), brother Robert Lambert and daughter in-law Mira.
David was born in Winnipeg on December 4, 1946, married Odile December 14, 1968 and settled in St. Boniface with their family, later moving to Windsor Park. He worked at Pollard Bank Note for 23yrs and took great pride in his work there, as well as the gardening he did at Pollard to win several awards in the Take Pride Winnipeg Annual Bloom contest. David enjoyed gardening, fishing and more recently found rock painting. He spent many hours painting intricate designs on rocks for family/friends as well as hiding them for Winnipeg Rocks. He also loved going to the cabin in St. Malo and being with his family. He had a quick wit, an infectious giggle and always had a smile on his face and liked to make others laugh. He will be lovingly remembered for these and many more attributes.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all family and friends for their many words of kindness, prayers, love and support during this difficult time. A special thank you to the Cancer Care team for their care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
A note of condolence can be left on David’s memorial page at www.interlakecremation.ca.
Arrangements entrusted to Interlake Cremation & Memorial Services.
